Today’s writing prompt is based on the poem Today by the Creek I Pretend I’m the Dalai Lama
Think of the kindest public or religious figure you know, either in present times or history. Consider their aspect: how they dress (dressed), their looks, their way of walking or other gestures. Pretend you are this person, walking through both the natural and the human-constructed world.
What details do you notice as you walk? Be specific, as Goldsmith has been specific in her poem. How do you extend kindness along the way? How do you express gratitude? How do you acknowledge, with specific acts, the creatures and environs you pass through? How do they respond to you?
