Julia Swyers is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, with a degree in photography that led to her photography business, and a passion for woodworking. She also works with the cyanotype process, brushing paper with an iron salt solution and, when the paper is dry, placing plants and flowers on top. The paper is exposed to sunlight which reacts with the chemistry to create the blue color, with the section blocked by plants remaining white.
